Yes, the outfits are well made and well-researched, but the book's charm lies in the wonderful humor of this glorious deadpan, patient pug, Charlie, acting out the larger-than-life historical roles of their "mother" is designed for. First pug on the moon? Queen Victoriapug? Andy Warholpug? Marilyn Monroepug? Charlie portrays it all with dignity, in blatant contradiction with its fabulously dressed situation.

You do not like dogs or pug to enjoy this book - so bring your appreciation of the absurd, and you will be entertained!

Well, my pug has an eye on them! The outfits - extensively researched - are incredibly impressive and authentic. Lisa is stellar when it comes to details, each costume takes her pug, is made with care, it also has an excellent sense of film and history. This book is a great gift for all to appreciate the extraordinary creativity knows. Lisa creates all of her pug Charlie's outfits from scratch, which is surprising given the nature of drafting some of the costumes. The images in this collection are fantastic, and Charlie is a great example. She is equally adept for the control of Marilyn Monroe or Genghis Khan! Even non-pug lovers will marvel at the beautiful pictures and the costumes and the sweetness of Charlie.
